KittC Delaney is a singer, songwriter Musician, Folk Artist and performer of Songs Old & New From Irish to worldwide Music. He BELIEVES all music is Folk Music.
Music in Germany in the 70s was a very special time for him as the folk clubs were at there best with so many people interested in music. a great time & of course west Berlin was a Fantastic place to be for Night life & Music of all Kinds which i lived for and meeting So Many Musicians & making Friends with different People.
KittC Started in Dublin and has performed at The old Embankment,(Mick McCarthy's) The Chariot Inn,The Old Shieling Hotel The Baggott Inn, McKeowns,Mc Daids, The Ould Dubliner, Mother Redcaps, Meeting Place, Slatterys,(Capel St). Odonoghues, & from Derry to Kerry.
In Germany he Toured the Folk Clubs & Festivals and also Performed the Music for Irish Plays Such as “The Hostage” By Brendan Behan in Berlin & in the Famous Schauspielhaus in Bochum Germany Directed by Peter Zadek With Musicial Director Dr,Charlie Wessler & Herbert (Herbi) Groenemeyer as the understudy Hostage.
The Play was a Great success all over Germany & the Premiere was a Feature on German national Television with Neill Tobin & The Wild Geese also the Folk Band Clannad & of course His Band "TARA" KittC went on to Perform the Hostage in San Francisco State University California and he also Performed the Music in “The Tinkers Wedding” By 'John Millington Synge' in Nuess Germany with Again Dr, Charlie Wessler' Director of Music we Traveled around Northern Germany for 3 months with Great success. Hildeigard Doebner from Witten was a Great help to all Musicians & Held a Festival in Witten every summer & a Folk Club on Friday Nights. He Also Performed his music in Athens Greece and at the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen Denmark and all over Norway & sweden.
He has PerformED at Buddy Guys in Chicago / TiTipitinas Club in New Orleans / Maple Leaf Club New Orleans / Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle and ArtQuake Festival in Portland, and In British Columbia.
He Performed the Derry Air for Senator "Ted Kennedy" At The Dubliner Phoenix Park Hotel in WDC. He Also Played a few tunes from time to time with Billy Comiskey & Brendan Mullivihill "The Irish Tradition" in Kellys Irish pub WDC, where Tipp ONeill used to frequent for a drink & Music and also with "Celtic Thunder" which was Jessie & Terry Winch, Linda Hickman & Tony Demarco around WDC & Baltimore in the Late 70s.
over the years now he has performed in concerts folk clubs and festivals at home in Ireland and all over Europe the USA The Emirates & Canada.
He has met Artists from Van Morrison / Louis Stewart / Maura O’Connell / Mick Maloney / John Prine / Sinead 0’Connor / Liam Clancy & Tommy Makem / Planxty / Frankie Gavin /Tommy Peoples / Jessie Ballard / John Vaughan / Emmylou Harris / Mick Hanley / Derroll Adams / Gary Moore / Kris Kristofferson / Bonnie Raitt / Pee Wee Ellis & so many others on His Travels Around. KittC is a singer / songwriter Multi Instrumentalist Playing Tenor Banjo / Mandola / Electric & Acoustic Guitars / Mandolin / Fiddle / Cello / Viola / Tenor Sax / Harmonica / Drums / (Irish Drum)bodhran. His extensive experience and professional approach to his music makes him an artist who delivers a strong performance every time in concert alone or in company.
